Sonam Wangchuk sitting on hunger strike in Ladakh to press for statehood, 6th Schedule

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, a member of Leh Apex Body, is currently on a 35-day hunger strike seeking Ladakh's inclusion under the Constitution's Sixth Schedule and statehood. "The talks with the Union government stopped around two months ago...the government has not called another meeting," he said. The strike would be called off if Centre resumes result-oriented talks, he added.

India likely to witness colder winter

Car crashes off flyover and lands on railway tracks in Delhi

A man lost control of his car on Mukarba Chowk flyover and hit the pavement before jumping off the railing and landing upside down on the railway tracks near Haiderpur Metro Station in Delhi, police said.
