Brain-like AI unveiled by China

Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Automation in Beijing have unveiled the world's first 'brain-like' large language model. Named SpikingBrain 1.0, it mimics how the human brain fires only the neurons it needs. It is designed to use less energy. In some tests, SpikingBrain 1.0 ran up to 100 times faster than conventional AI models.

Gold climbs to new all-time high

Gold prices hit a fresh lifetime high of β‚Ή1,13,100 per 10 grams in Delhi on Thursday after climbing β‚Ή100, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Gold prices have skyrocketed by β‚Ή34,150 or 43.25% this year from β‚Ή78,950 per 10 grams on December 31, 2024.
