7 military officers awarded Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal for Op Sindoor

India responds to racist attacks against Indians in Ireland

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), when asked about incidents of racist attacks on Indians in Ireland, said, "We strongly condemn these acts." MEA spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said India has "taken up the matter firmly with the authorities in Dublin" and New Delhi. "The Indian Embassy in Dublin is in touch with the victims," he added.

How has Indian flag changed over time?

The first national flag was hoisted in 1906 in Calcutta during Swadeshi and Boycott movement. It had green, yellow and red stripes, and eight lotus symbols. A similar flag was hoisted in 1907. Tricolour with saffron, white and green stripes, and Mahatma Gandhi's spinning wheel symbol was adopted in 1931. The present-day flag was adopted on July 22, 1947.

World's first humanoid robot games begin in China, 16 nations participate
