Kerala Students' Union files 'missing' complaint for Union Minister Suresh Gopi

Kerala Students' Union (KSU) district president Gokul Guruvayur has filed police complaint alleging Union Minister and Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi has been "missing" from his constituency. "Even the mayor and the revenue minister are not able to get in touch with Gopi," Guruvayur stated. He added Gopi hasn't been seen in area since arrest of two Kerala nuns in Chhattisgarh.

Over 600 pilgrims hospitalised due to chlorine gas leak in Iraq

More than 600 pilgrims in Iraq were hospitalised with respiratory problems after inhaling chlorine as the result of a leak at a water treatment station. The incident took place overnight on the route between holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, located in the centre and south of Iraq. Iraq's Health Ministry said 621 cases of asphyxia have been recorded.

India's 1st animal stem cell biobank inaugurated in Hyderabad

Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday inaugurated India's first animal stem cell biobank and laboratory at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) in Hyderabad. The 9,300 sq ft biobank, constructed at a cost of β‚Ή1.85 crore, will focus on regenerative medicine and cellular therapies for livestock.
