CBSE makes CCTV cameras mandatory in schools for kids' safety, releases guidelines

CBSE has made mandatory the installation of CCTV cameras in all affiliated schools for the safety of kids. In its guidelines, CBSE said, "The school should install high resolution CCTV cameras with audio visual facility at all the entry and exit points of the school, lobbies, corridors, staircases, all classrooms, labs, library, canteen, store room, playground and other common areas."

Air India got 9 show cause notices over violations in last 6 months: Govt

Nine show cause notices have been issued to Air India in connection to five identified safety violations, during the last six months, MoS Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol told Rajya Sabha on Monday. Enforcement action has been completed in respect of one violation, Mohol said, without releasing details of the alleged violations. He made the disclosure in a written reply.

Air India Delhi-Kolkata flight aborts take-off due to technical snag

A Delhi-Kolkata Air India flight, reportedly carrying 160 passengers, aborted take-off on Monday, necessitated by a technical issue detected during take-off roll, said a spokesperson. The cockpit crew decided to discontinue the take-off, following Standard Operating Procedures. "Passengers have disembarked and our ground colleagues in Delhi are extending support to them," the statement said.

Tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR on Tuesday after a 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Haryana at 6 am, with Faridabad as the epicentre, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said. A cyber espionage operation targeting Microsoft server software impacted around 100 different organisations over the weekend, Shadowserver Foundation and Eye Security which helped uncover the attack said. Microsoft on Saturday issued alert about "active attacks" on self-hosted SharePoint servers. Microsoft said that it had "provided security updates and encourages customers to install them".

Google, OpenAI's AI models surpass gold-level score at Math Olympiad for 1st time

Google and OpenAI have announced that their AI models surpassed the gold-level score at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025. Air India plane catches fire after landing at Delhi airport

An Air India plane caught fire shortly after it landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. There was some damage to the aircraft, however, passengers and crew members disembarked normally and are safe, an Air India spokesperson said in a statement.
