Black box decoded in India for 1st time: Aviation Minister on Air India crash probe

Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said a black box has been decoded in India for first time ever during AAIB's Air India crash probe. "Whenever these incidents happen and black box is damaged...We were always sending it to OEMs for decoding...This time, India took a stand," he said. AAIB mentioned only facts it could determine in preliminary report, he added.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin admitted to hospital after mild giddiness

Pictures have surfaced online, showing damage to the Air India plane that skidded off the runway while landing amid heavy rainfall at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The pictures show a clump of grass stuck to the rear part of the aircraft and damage on one of the engines. The airport's runway was also damaged.

A Chinese-made F-7 BGI fighter jet of the Bangladesh Air Force has crashed into a school in Bangladesh's Dhaka, killing at least one person and injuring several others. Children were reportedly present inside the school when the jet crashed. Multiple videos which surfaced showed defence personnel engaged in rescue operations and carrying the injured on three-wheeled carts.

The South Korea-led investigation into Jeju Air's plane crash in December 2024 has "clear evidence" that pilots shut off the less-damaged engine after a bird strike, Reuters reported quoting sources. Indian woman found dead in UAE on her birthday, family blames husband

Athulya Sekhar, a woman from Kerala, was found dead in her Sharjah apartment in the UAE on her 30th birthday on Saturday. The woman's mother has reportedly alleged that Athulya's husband Satheesh strangled her, kicked her stomach and hit her head with a plate between July 18 and 19, leading to her death. 19 killed as fighter jet crashes into school in Bangladesh

At least 19 people were killed as a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training fighter jet crashed into a school in the capital city of Dhaka on Monday, a fire services official said. More than 50 people, including children and adults, have been hospitalised with burns, a doctor at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery told reporters.

Air India got 9 show cause notices over violations in last 6 months: Govt

Nine show cause notices have been issued to Air India in connection to five identified safety violations, during the last six months, MoS Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol told Rajya Sabha on Monday. Enforcement action has been completed in respect of one violation, Mohol said, without releasing details of the alleged violations. He made the disclosure in a written reply.
