Inter Kashi become I-League champions after CAS rejects AIFF decision

Inter Kashi have been declared I-League 2024-25 champions after Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected AIFF’s decision to award title to Churchill Brothers. AIFF’s Appeal Committee had earlier penalised Inter Kashi for fielding an 'ineligible player'. Inter Kashi had dropped to second place after point deduction. "Truth will always emerge victorious!" Platinum prices hit highest level in over 10 years

The price of platinum hit its highest level since August 2014, with spot platinum surging to $1,458.80 per ounce on Friday. In India, the cost of platinum is ₹4,043 per gram, according to Goodreturns. India responds to EU sanction on refinery, says 'There must be no double standards'

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday said it has noted European Union's (EU) sanction on India's second-biggest oil refinery in Gujarat's Vadinar. Stating that India doesn't subscribe to any unilateral sanctions, MEA added, "There should be no double standards...when it comes to energy trade." The sanction is due to Russian state-owned Rosneft's 49% stake in the refinery.

IRS officer Kapil Raj, who arrested 2 CMs, resigns

Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Kapil Raj, who arrested two sitting CMs- then-Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren- as part of ED, has resigned after 16 years' service. Pilots' body sends notice to WSJ, Reuters for blaming pilots for Air India crash

The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) has issued notice to Western media outlets Wall Street Journal and Reuters, after their reports blamed pilot error for the Air India plane crash. The federation has demanded an apology too. India bag 3 gold medals at International Mathematical Olympiad 2025

27 killed, many missing as tourist boat capsizes in Vietnam

At least 27 people, including 8 children, were killed after a tourist boat capsized due to stormy weather in Vietnam's Ha Long Bay on Saturday, Reuters reported, citing state media.
