India replies to Trump's tariff threat, proposes to collect $3.8 bn from steel & aluminium duties

India responded to US President Donald Trump's tariff threats by proposing to impose retaliatory duties on steel and aluminium, according to a notification sent to the World Trade Organization (WTO). India said it'll collect duties worth $3.82 billion in retaliation, similar to the amount US will collect from duties on Indian exports. US imposed 50% tariffs on steel and aluminium.

Tesla likely to begin first deliveries in India from August

Tesla, led by Elon Musk, will reportedly launch its first showroom in Mumbai on Tuesday and aims to start deliveries as early as next month, Bloomberg said. It found that the fuel supply to both engines of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner appears to have been cut off within seconds after takeoff. The preliminary report on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, released by Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) shared a CCTV grab showing that the plane's Ram Air Turbine (RAT) was deployed before crash. Both engines' N2 values passed below minimum idle speed, and the RAT hydraulic pump began supplying hydraulic power at about 13:38:47 IST, the report said.
