The Republican-controlled US Senate passed President Donald Trump's 'One Big Beautiful Bill', which aims to make wide-ranging tax cuts and which had caused a rift between Trump and his ally Elon Musk. The bill passed with a 51-50 margin, with Vice President JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote after a 24-hour debate. The bill now heads to House of Representatives.

Shami ordered by HC to pay ₹4 lakh monthly maintenance to estranged wife and daughter

The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday ordered cricketer Mohammad Shami to pay ₹4 lakh monthly to his estranged wife Hasin Jahan and their daughter. Jahan had moved High Court after a district court in 2023 directed Shami to pay ₹50,000 to her and ₹80,000 to their daughter. She had sought ₹10 lakh monthly maintenance for herself and their daughter.

Chinese space agency CNSA released high-definition pictures of the Earth and the Moon, which have been clicked from 5,90,000 km away. The pictures were taken by China's Tianwen-2 spacecraft, which has been in orbit for over 33 days and is currently over 12 million km away from Earth. The spacecraft aims to collect and return with China's first asteroid sample.
