Rape accused Zaib got admission in Kolkata law college despite low rank, says BJP

Zaib Ahmed, who's accused of raping a 24-year-old student in South Calcutta Law College, got admission in the college despite securing low rank in the Calcutta University Law Entrance Test, BJP's Amit Malviya said. Ahmed had got 2634 rank in CULET-UG 2024, Malviya said, while sharing the purported merit list. Ahmed is among four people arrested for the rape.

In a first, a team of Chinese doctors in Lhasa has successfully performed satellite-based robotic surgeries on two patients in Beijing. For this, the team established a cross-regional link using Apstar-6D satellite. This has "extended the service radius of a single surgical robot from 5000 ​km supported by 5G networks to 150,000 ​km supported by satellites", as per the study.
