Indians abroad sent home record $135 bn in remittances in 2024-25
The Indian diaspora sent home over $135 billion (over βΉ11 lakh crore) in the last fiscal year (2024-25), marking the highest remittances on record. Gross inward remittances by overseas Indians, as reflected in private transfers, were 14% higher from the previous year.
