UP govt pays ₹5 lakh to accused over delay in release from jail

Oldest rocks on Earth found

Researchers have discovered that rocks from the Nuvvuagittuq Greenstone Belt in northern Quebec are 4.16 billion years old, making them the oldest-known rocks on Earth. Two separate testing methods confirmed the age. Previously, the oldest-known rocks were about 4.03 billion years old and found in Canada's Northwest Territories.
