Yellow alert for heatwave in Delhi-NCR, temp may reach up to 45°C

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the heatwave in the Delhi NCR region on Sunday. "The temperature is expected to rise above 45 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, creating heatwave conditions in isolated places," IMD Scientist Akhil Srivastava said. The maximum temperature was between 42-44 degrees Celsius on Sunday, he added.

Arrest people in face masks: Trump as Los Angeles riots escalate

US President Donald Trump has directed law enforcement officials to arrest protesters found wearing face masks as riots over federal immigration raids escalated and turned violent in Los Angeles. He also said protesters won't be allowed to cover their faces henceforth. Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard members to quell the protests and they arrived in the city on Sunday.
