Olympian javelin thrower Shivpal fails dope test, faces 8-year ban

Olympian javelin thrower Shivpal Singh has failed dope test for second time in his career and is facing an eight-year ban. The 29-year-old is said to have returned positive for a banned substance when his urine sample taken out of competition earlier this year was tested. Earlier in 2021, Shivpal's dope sample had tested positive for steroid in out-of-competition test.

No rule to be in custody for year for bail: SC as it grants bail

China unveils world's 1st drone mothership, can launch 100+ drones

China is planning to launch Jiu Tian SS-UAV, world's first "drone mothership" aircraft, capable of releasing more than 100 AI-guided kamikaze drones during high-altitude missions. It can fly at 15,000 metres high, has a range of 7,000 km and can carry up to six tonnes of ammunition. The drones would be used for surveillance, decoys, electronic warfare and precision targeting.

Schedule for IPL 2025 playoffs announced

5 dead in rain-related incidents in K'taka, orange alert in B'luru

Serial killer 'Doctor Death', who fed victims' bodies to crocodiles, arrested from Rajasthan

Dubbed 'Doctor Death', Devender Sharma, a 67-year-old Ayurveda practitioner-turned-serial killer, has been arrested from an ashram in Rajasthan's Dausa by Delhi Police. He had jumped parole in 2023 while serving a life sentence. He was involved in at least 27 cases of murder, kidnapping and robbery and was arrested in 2004.
