Death toll in Nepal crosses 900 after deadly flash floods

The death toll from Nepal floods has risen to 903, according to the latest figures released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA). Meanwhile, 4,247 people, including 592 foreigners, remain missing. Some bodies are believed to have been swept downstream into India. Trekkers and Hindu pilgrims travelling to Tibet's sacred Mount Kailash are among those missing.

47.7 lakh names deleted as Delhi's draft electoral roll released

The Election Commission of India on Monday published the draft electoral roll for Delhi following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. According to the data, 47.7 lakh names out of Delhi's 1.45 crore voters were excluded from the draft list. The draft roll includes around 97.5 lakh electors, while the remaining voters' forms were categorised as "uncollectable" under different categories.
