'Taapsee's film Gandhari plagiarised my script,' claims Mumbai-based writer

Filmmaker Kanika Dhillon's film 'Gandhari', starring Taapsee Pannu, has been accused of plagiarism after Mumbai-based writer Raghav Desai alleged that it's similar to a script he pitched in 2024. However, Kathha Pictures denied the claims, calling them "false and baseless". "Gandhari is an original work, written and produced by Kanika Dhillon and developed by Kathha Pictures," the statement read.

Man who left OpenAI 2 yrs ago and rejoined, leaves firm again to join Meta

Meta has hired former OpenAI researcher Luke Metz for its Superintelligence Labs, marking his third major move across leading AI labs in under two years, Axios reported. Metz earlier worked at Google for six years before joining OpenAI in 2022. He left OpenAI in 2024 to join Mira Murati's startup Thinking Machines Lab before rejoining OpenAI earlier this year.

Russia claims Su-35 jet struck US-made Patriot system in Ukraine from 125 km away

Russia on Sunday claimed that its Su-35 fighter jet struck components of a US-made Patriot air-defence system in Ukraine using a Kh-31PM anti-radiation missile fired from around 125 km away. The Kh-31PM is designed to detect and home in on electromagnetic emissions from enemy radar systems. The reported strike comes amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

TCS to acquire Porsche's IT consultancy unit for โ‚น3,574 crore

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will acquire Porsche's IT consulting subsidiary, MHP Management for โ‚ฌ320 million (over โ‚น3,574 crore). The acquisition is expected to be completed in three to four months. Porsche also signed a five-year deal with TCS worth โ‚ฌ1.25 billion (nearly โ‚น14,000 crore). TCS will establish an AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche as part of the deal.

Gold prices hit 5-month high in India, silver reaches 4-month high

Gold prices climbed to a more than five-month high of โ‚น1.64 lakh/10 grams in Delhi on Monday, according to All India Sarafa Association. The yellow metal of 99.9% purity rose โ‚น900 to โ‚น1,64,400/10 grams from Friday's closing level of โ‚น1,63,500/10 grams. Meanwhile, silver also advanced for third straight session, rising by โ‚น3,500 to over a four-month high of โ‚น2,53,500/kg.

Ex-world snooker champion Graeme Dott found guilty of sexually abusing children

Former world snooker champion Graeme Dott has been found guilty of sexually abusing two primary school-aged children.
