People who speak more than one language may have brains that look younger than expected for their age, according to research presented at the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) Forum 2026. It suggests that using multiple languages may help protect brain from age-related changes. Learning a second, third or fourth language could potentially help keep brain younger for longer.

Ship with Chinese crew sinks near India

A Panama-flagged cargo ship with 24 crew members, most of whom were Chinese, has sunk in the Bay of Bengal, about 444 km from Odisha's coast, PTI reported. The Singapore-bound ship was carrying iron ore from Odisha when it sank. The Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy have launched rescue operations, but it's yet unclear if anyone has been rescued.

Chinese robot sprints 100 metres faster than world's fastest human, then crashes

The Chinese robot 'Lightning' ran the 100-metre sprint in just 9.32 seconds, beating the world's fastest human Usain Bolt's record of 9.58 seconds. The robot, built by smartphone brand Honor, was seen crashing into a cushion after the race and falling down.
