₹3 crore cash found at taxi driver's house in Madhya Pradesh

Around ₹3 crore in cash was found stuffed in bags at taxi driver Saurabh Ahirwar's house in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar. Police found the cash when they had gone to search for a gun that Saurabh was seen flashing in one of his social media posts. His family members claimed the money belonged to a relative who is a PWD engineer.

Gold and silver prices surge in India

Gold and silver prices rose on August 21, with gold at ₹1,59,870 per 10 grams and silver at ₹2,44,410 per kg, NDTV Profit reported, citing Bullions website. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,59,580 per 10 grams, compared with ₹1,59,310 in Delhi. Silver stood at ₹2,43,960 per kg in Mumbai and ₹2,43,540 per kg in Delhi.

Mumbai auto, taxi fares to rise from September 1

Autorickshaw and taxi fares in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) will increase from September 1. Under revised rates, the minimum autorickshaw fare will rise from ₹26 to ₹27 for the first 1.5 km, while the per-km rate will be ₹18.
