SBI makes cash withdrawals from ATMs costlier

State Bank of India announced the fees it'll charge for ATM withdrawals from customers with basic savings bank deposit (BSBD) accounts. It said the first four withdrawals will remain free for all BSBD account holders, with every additional transaction costing ₹15 plus GST. The new charges will come into effect from October 1 and are likely to promote digital banking.

Gangster Vinod Pannu shot dead outside court in Haryana

Gangster Vinod Pannu, alias Kana, was shot dead by two assailants at the main gate of the District Court complex in Hisar, Haryana on Thursday afternoon, police said. The assailants, who were lying in wait, fired approximately 10 rounds in quick succession. Police are investigating if the killing was the result of an inter-gang rivalry.

Ladakh's access to justice to get easier as govt decides to set up High Court bench

The Centre has decided to set up a bench of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in Ladakh. "This will significantly enhance access to justice for citizens living in remote areas of Ladakh by reducing the time required to avail...legal services they are entitled to," Home Minister Amit Shah said. Indians lose ₹29,000 per second in F&O trades, only 1 out of 10 makes money

Indian traders lost a total of ₹91,685 crore while trading in the equity derivatives segment in FY26, translating to a loss of over ₹29,000 per second, as per a SEBI study.
