India’s wholesale inflation eases to 9.78% in July, food inflation rises

India's wholesale inflation eased slightly to 9.78% in July from 9.87% in June, government data showed. A sharp moderation in fuel and power inflation offset higher prices of primary articles and manufactured products. Wholesale price inflation remained above 9% for the third straight month. The WPI Food Index inflation increased to 6.65% in July from 6.14% in June.
