India's ASEAN Cup withdrawal could cost AIFF ₹17-23 lakh: Report

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is reportedly set to withdraw from the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 due to a date clash with India's friendly against Brazil. According to Times Now, a withdrawal at least 30 days before the tournament would attract a minimum ₹17.64 lakh fine. If withdrawn later, the minimum fine would be ₹23.52 lakh, the report added.

To speed up production, Railways to now make 238 Mumbai AC locals at its own units

The Railways will now manufacture 238 new AC local trains for Mumbai at three of its production units: ICF Chennai, RCF Kapurthala and MCF Raebareli. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the earlier procurement process faced challenges, with the timeline extending to 2030, which was unacceptable. 90 porn videos found on rape convict ex-MP Prajwal's phone seized from jail

Every Air India pilot to face dope test after pilot tests positive for marijuana

Air India has ordered mandatory substance-abuse screening for all its pilots after the pilot of Phuket-Delhi flight, which dipped 300 ft, tested positive for marijuana, reported Reuters citing an internal memo. Sukhbir Singh Badal attacked 2nd time in 2 years; first was at Golden Temple

SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal faced a second attack in less than two years after a Nihang Sikh allegedly attacked him with a kirpan near a Gurdwara in Maharashtra's Nanded. US hires 2,000 gamers as air traffic controllers at ₹1.4 crore pay

US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has hired more than 2,000 video gamers as air traffic controllers. The FAA launched a campaign in April encouraging gamers to apply for the role, which offers an average salary of $155,000 (₹1.4 crore) after three years.
