Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted India's importance in Israel's foreign policy, dismissing claims that Israel is diplomatically isolated. Balochistan declares Aug 11 as I-Day after breaking away from Pakistan

Weeks after declaring independence from Pakistan, the self-proclaimed Republic of Balochistan announced that August 11 would be observed as Balochistan's Independence Day. It called on the international community to recognise what it described as an independent and sovereign Balochistan. Fire erupts at Greater Noida factory, 2 firefighters dead as wall collapses during rescue op

A massive fire broke out on the intervening night of August 3 and 4 at ILGIM, an electronic chip manufacturing company in the Ecotech-3 industrial area, Greater Noida. Two firefighters were killed and three others were injured after a side wall of the factory and an iron beam suddenly collapsed, trapping five fire service personnel during the firefighting operation.

Pensioners' representative body, EPS95 National Agitation Committee, has called for a nationwide protest on August 5 at Jantar Mantar. 'Spider-Man No Way Home' actress Mary Rivera passes away

Mary Rivera, who played Ned Leeds’ (Jacob Batalon) grandmother in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), passed away at the age of 82. According to her obituary, the actress died on April 15 in Honolulu, but the news came to light only recently after TMZ reported it. Bengaluru reclaims 750 km of footpaths

Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said the city has reclaimed 750 km of encroached footpaths under 'Safe Footpath' campaign between July 1 and July 31. Leaked oil & mud on Pune road causes 25 vehicles to skid, 6 injured

Leaked oil from vehicles mixed with mud and rainwater caused 25 vehicles to skid on a road between RTO Chowk and Naidu Hospital Road in Pune, leaving at least six people injured. Later, firefighters
