Indian triple jumper Praveen Chithravel won the silver medal in the men's triple jump at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 with a best jump of 16.58 metres. Selva Prabhu Thirumaran bagged the bronze medal for India in the same event with a best jump of 16.52 metres. Jamaica's Jordan Scott secured the gold medal with a jump of 16.72 metres.

Jamshedpur FC withdraw from ISL.

Jamshedpur FC confirmed they will not participate in Indian Super League (ISL) from the 2026-27 season. The club had not paid the ₹55-lakh first instalment of the participation fee under the league's new club-led model. The Tata Steel-owned side joined ISL in 2017 and won the leage in 2021-22. The club owners pledged to continue promoting football at grassroots level.

Coldcard Bitcoin theft hits ₹850 crore as third wave hits 1,900 more users

Hackers exploiting a bug in crypto wallet Coldcard launched a third wave of attack on 1,912 new addresses, targeting 208 Bitcoin and taking the total crypto theft to $89 million (₹850 crore). Unlike the first two waves, the third wave sent Bitcoins to separate accounts instead of a handful of collector accounts. The third wave targeted six victims per attack.
