Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke claimed that activist Sonam Wangchuk was about to end his fast on July 20, but he decided to continue after the police brutality during the CJP protests. Dipke stated that according to Wangchuk's doctors, his body can tolerate a hunger strike for 20-21 days, beyond which his life would be in threat.

Govt releases list of states/UTs which bought most & least E20 petrol

The government has revealed that Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra purchased the most ethanol-blended E20 petrol in India, at 124.98 crore litres and 110.66 crore litres respectively. Meanwhile, the states that purchased the least E20 petrol were Sikkim (84 lakh litres), Nagaland (1.60 crore litres), and Mizoram (1.80 crore litres). Among UTs, Delhi purchased the most E20, at 27.97 crore litres.

Everyday goods see more price hikes than cuts, home care sees biggest jump

FMCG companies have raised prices on far more products than they have cut over the past two months, a CLSA survey showed. Since May, 252 of the 310 products with price changes became costlier, while only 58 saw price cuts.
