Woman applies makeup, bangles on man to shame him for harassing her on train

A video has surfaced online showing women passengers confronting a man, who allegedly harassed a woman on the Bhusawal-Wardha MEMU train. The passengers publicly shamed him by making him wear bangles and apply lipstick, calling it a "Gandhigiri-style" lesson to convey the importance of respecting women. The man was reportedly handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) later.

8 killed, 34 missing after landslide in China's Chongqing

At least eight people were killed and 34 remain missing after a landslide struck China's Chongqing, officials said. The landslide occurred at around 9:08 am in Pengshui County, where rocks and soil swept downhill, burying more than 10 residential buildings, state broadcaster CCTV reported. More than 1,100 residents were evacuated as rescue teams searched through unstable debris.

RBI has announced a premature redemption price of β‚Ή14,158 per unit for the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2020-21 Series X, due on Saturday, and the SGB 2021-22 Series IV, due on Monday. Chinese embassy in Bangladesh warned its citizens against using illegal matchmaking services/brokers for so-called 'buy a bride' schemes in the country. It said those involved could be arrested on suspicion of human trafficking. Under Bangladeshi law, human trafficking is punishable by at least seven years in prison, with penalties extending to life imprisonment or even death penalty, it added.

Calcutta High Court ruled that land records cannot prove Indian citizenship as foreigners can purchase property in the country. "Merely because a foreign national buys immovable property in India ipso facto does not make such purchaser an Indian citizen," the High Court said.
