Amid a row over E20 petrol, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said, "People who don't want ethanol-blended fuel can go for 100% petrol, but they'll have to pay more." When asked if E10 petrol could also be made available, Gadkari said, "How is it possible when we've achieved 20% ethanol blending and E20 fuel is available at every fuel station?"

Tesla sells 486 cars in first year after India debut

A year since its India debut, Elon Musk-led Tesla has registered just 486 cars in the country, according to Vahan data till 5 pm on Tuesday. In June, Tesla registered just 35 cars, according to data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations. In comparison, BMW and Mercedes-Benz sold 486 and 234 EVs, respectively, during the month.
