India thrash Pakistan in Women's T20 World Cup 2026, record biggest win against them

India defeated Pakistan by 64 runs in their Women's T20 World Cup 2026 opener in Birmingham on Sunday. It is India's biggest-ever victory against Pakistan in the history of women's T20I cricket. India put up a total of 170/6 and dismissed Pakistan for 106 in 17 overs. India all-rounder Deepti Sharma took five wickets in the match.

India has invited French universities to open campuses in India during the talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in France. The universities will open their campuses in India as part of the country's 'New Education Policy'. First-ever footage of a goblin shark swimming freely in its natural deep-ocean habitat has been recorded by scientists. Published in Journal of Fish Biology, the study documents two separate encounters in the Central Pacific. 11 skydivers killed as plane crashes in US

Eleven skydivers and one pilot were killed in a plane crash near an airport in US' Missouri, authorities said. The plane, which had just taken off and was unable to get visual altitude, made a sharp left turn and crashed about 300 yards from runway. The crash will be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board, Missouri Highway Patrol said.

Singer Olive Tree dies aged 32 after collision of 2 helicopters mid-air in Brazil

American singer Oliver Tree has died at the age of 32 after a helicopter crash in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro. He was among the six people who died after two helicopters, reportedly an Airbus H125 (PR-DJJ) and a Bell 206B Jet Ranger (PP-MAC), collided mid-air on Sunday.
