Haryana makes EV charging stations compulsory in new buildings

Haryana government has amended the Haryana Building Code to make EV charging infrastructure mandatory in new residential and commercial buildings. Offices, malls and hotels must provide one charging point for every three parking spaces, while housing projects must provide one for every five spaces. The amendment permits EV charging infrastructure in basements, with applicable fire safety norms.

Retd Army major, who fought terrorists, harassed for 1.5 hrs at night by Gurugram traffic police

Retired Major Hemendra Singh, who was injured while fighting terrorists, has accused traffic policemen in Gurugram of harassing him and his family on June 7. He was stopped during drunk-driving checks and allegedly harassed for about 1.5 hours. Singh was travelling with his wife and two daughters. He said the alcohol reading -13 mg/100 ml was within safe limits.
