9 people killed as pickup van collides with truck in Punjab

At least nine people were killed and several others injured when a pickup van carrying members of an extended family collided with a truck on the Ferozepur-Fazilka road in Punjab. The family was travelling to Beas to immerse the ashes of a deceased relative, police said. The truck driver is absconding as the cause of the accident is being investigated.

Haircut & shaving prices increased by 20% in Maharashtra

Hackers now sending fake IT workers to hack victims in person, Google issues warning

Google issued a warning to users in the US regarding the cybercriminal gang Silent Ransom Group that's sending fake IT workers to victims' offices and homes to steal data in person. The gang planted insiders, bribed employees or physically entered buildings to facilitate cyberattacks, Google said. The in-person hackers use USB storage media to steal data from an endpoint.

Kozhikode boys’ school opens its doors to girls after 233 years

St Joseph's Higher Secondary School in Kerala's Kozhikode will open its classrooms to girls, ending its 233-year run as an exclusively boys' institution.
