Firebase rival Supabase doubles valuation to ₹95,000 cr in 8 months

Open-source database startup Supabase, a widely used alternative to Firebase, raised $500 million (over ₹4,700 crore) to double its valuation to $10 billion (over ₹95,000 crore) in eight months. The platform makes back-end tools to help developers build AI apps and is built on the PostgreSQL open-source database. The firm was valued at $5 billion in October 2025.

RBI unveils 6 measures to attract foreign money inflows into India

In a bid to attract foreign money inflows, RBI expanded foreign access to long-term government securities (G-sec) and removed FPI limits under general route. Equity investment limits for NRIs and OCIs have been increased and extended to all resident individuals abroad. RBI extended concessional forex swap window for external commercial borrowings raised by PSUs till September 30.

Delhi hotel where fire killed 21 had no ventilation & basement door was locked

Delhi's Flourish Stays B&B, where fire killed 21 people, had no ventilation, basement main door was locked and there were 28 rooms instead of the permitted six, the FIR said. India's GDP grows 7.8% in March quarter, FY26 growth at 7.7%

India's real gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 7.8% in the January-March quarter, as per the data released by the government on Friday. Nominal GDP growth for the quarter stood at 9.1%.
