Born in Junagadh, he lost his mother at a very young age while his father made ends meet by playing the dholak at events. Learning from his father, he soon became a maestro playing bhajans, kawalis and ghazals and transforming dholak into lead solo instrument.

TN CM Vijay scraps old 4-show rule, theatres can screen 5 shows/day for 1st week

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay announced that theatres will now be allowed to run five shows per day during a film's first week of release, scrapping the 1957 four-show limit rule. Delhi Gymkhana Club, which has been asked to vacate its premises by June 5, saw an increase in its annual rent by 10,000% to ₹47 crore in 2026, Indian Express reported. Investors gain ₹5.5 lakh crore as Sensex rises 1,074 points

Equity investors gained nearly ₹5.5 lakh crore on Monday as the market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms rose from ₹462.25 lakh crore at Friday's close to ₹467.74 lakh crore today. The BSE Sensex surged 1,073.61 points to close at 76,488.96, while the Nifty 50 climbed 312.40 points to 24,031.70. Nifty 50 crossed the 24,000-mark for the first time since May 8.
