What happened when super El Niño hit India in the past?

India is expected to witness below normal rainfall this year due to super El Niño event. In 2015-16, India recieved 14% less rainfall due to similar event, triggering drought-like situation. In Maharashtra's Marathwada, farmers' distress grew manifold as it witnessed 40% rainfall deficit. In 2023, El Niño led to 36% rainfall deficit in August with Satara, Nashik being among worst-hit.

BJP MLA gets himself fined after riding bike without helmet

What is mouse-tracking software, against which Meta employees are protesting?

Meta employees are protesting against the company's use of mouse-tracking software. The tracking tool, called Model Capability Initiative, tracks mouse movements, clicks, keystrokes and periodic screenshots while workers use selected applications such as Gmail and Meta's in-house AI assistant, Metamate. Haryana bars petrol, diesel vehicles for cab aggregator fleets in NCR

Haryana government has approved new rules for granting licences to cab aggregators, delivery service providers and e-commerce fleets operating in NCR areas. Under new rules, all vehicles added from January 1, 2026 onwards must run on CNG.
