Met Gala ticket to cost ₹23.7 lakh more this year

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute has raised the price of individual tickets for Met Gala 2026 to $100,000 (₹94.7 lakh), up $25,000 (₹23.7 lakh) from last year, reported The New York Times. The prices for a table start at $350,000 (₹3.3 crore), it added. All the money from ticket sales goes directly to funding the institute's yearly budget.

Govt proposes rules to allow 85-100% ethanol-blended fuels in vehicles

The government has issued a draft notification proposing amendments to the Central Motor Vehicles Rules to allow the use of higher ethanol-blended fuels in vehicles. The proposal includes provisions for E85 fuel, a blend of 85% ethanol with petrol, and E100, which is essentially ethanol. India achieved its target of 20% ethanol blending (E20) in petrol last year.
