India ranks 2nd globally for top AI authors & inventors in 2025: Stanford report

India had the world’s second-largest pool of top AI authors and inventors in 2025, trailing only the United States, according to a study by Stanford University. The largest share of identified AI authors and inventors came from US (2,20,520) last year, followed by India (50,460). India attracted a total of $4.09 billion in global private investments in AI last year.

Over 100 Chrome extensions caught stealing user data; 20,000 affected

Cybersecurity researchers have uncovered a campaign involving 108 Chrome extensions that stole user identities, hijacked Telegram sessions and injected malicious code into web pages. All extensions routed stolen data to servers controlled by the same operator, security firm Socket said. The extensions have collectively amassed around 20,000 installs on the Chrome Web Store.

Authorities demolished the house of 19-year-old Mohammad Ayaz, who sexually exploited around 180 minors and recorded 350 obscene videos of them, in Maharashtra's Amravati district. Sensex ends over 1,200 points higher, Nifty closes above 24,200

Iran counters US blockade claim, says 'Our supertanker crossed Hormuz openly with tracker on'

Iran has countered the claim of US CENTCOM that no vessels have breached their blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
