The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for the DC-MI IPL 2026 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. Heavy traffic is expected from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg and Asaf Ali Road. Meanwhile, free parking will be available at Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road.

3 massive oil tankers escape Strait of Hormuz chokehold using new trick: Report

Two supertankers and an LNG vessel escaped Iran's chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz by sailing while hugging their home country Oman's coastline, Bloomberg reported. Ships belonging to countries that Iran considers friendly usually take a northerly route to pass the Strait. The three ships were broadcasting that they were Omani and stopped sending position signals at 9:30 am (GMT).

Indian Navy commissions INS Taragiri

Indian Navy commissioned INS Taragiri in Visakhapatnam on Friday. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said it is a "symbol of India's growing maritime power". "On this occasion, I congratulate all fellow countrymen, including Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited and the Indian Navy," he stated. Taragiri is the fourth warship under Project 17A, with a displacement of 6,670 tonnes.

US-based AI startup Pika Labs has launched PikaStream1.0, a new real-time AI model that allows users to talk to any agent via video calls. "The skill preserves memory and personality and enables real-time adaptability," Pika Labs said. US conducts military drills in Indian Ocean, releases pictures

US Marine Corps conducted a military drill on Diego Garcia island in the Indian Ocean. Delhi to set up animal welfare bodies in all the districts

The Delhi government will constitute animal welfare committees in all the 13 districts to prevent cruelty against animals, the officials said. The committees, Societies for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCAs), will be headed by District Magistrate (DM). Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said that separately functioning Delhi Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) will be dissolved.
