Man claims to wear gold worth ₹1 cr in Hyderabad, I-T dept exposes it's ₹3 lakh copper

Pallapu Suresh Kumar, a Hyderabad man who claimed to wear gold jewellery worth ₹1 crore, has been exposed after Income Tax officials found most of the ornaments were made of copper and worth around ₹3 lakh. He was summoned after officials widened probe into Telangana Hockey Association president Konda Vijay Kumar, from whom 1.4 kg of gold ornaments were seized.

Iran's heavy water plant severely damaged, not operational: IAEA

A heavy water production plant, located in Iran's Khondab, has been severely damaged and is no longer operational, said the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This comes after the plant was hit by an Israeli strike on March 27. The Israeli military called the water plant, which was targeted based on intelligence inputs, "a key component in Iran's nuclear infrastructure".

After retired Army Brigadier VK Joshi was killed by a stray bullet amid a dispute between two parties in Dehradun, police said the parties fought over a bill at the nightclub Zen G. HDFC Bank chief breaks silence after quitting abruptly, says 'We don't dig well after fire'

HDFC Bank Chairman Atanu Chakraborty, who quit abruptly on March 18, broke silence by explaining some of the ethical "incongruencies" at the bank. Chakraborty said customer onboarding and conduct lapses in the bank's Dubai operations were called "technical" lapses by CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan, but they also brought reputational risk. Iran denies Pakistan’s claims of mediating in US talks

After Pakistan claimed it's ready to host talks between US and Iran to end the war, Tehran said it's not part of Pakistan's plan. "Pakistan's forums are their own. We didn't participate," Consulate General of Iran in Mumbai said, citing a spokesperson of Iran's Foreign Ministry. "Regional calls to end war are welcome, but remember who started it," it added.

US financial research firm Morpheus Research claimed MakeMyTrip "openly defies" Indian regulators like CCI, cheats customers, and falsely inflates profits via accounting tricks. Morpheus Research claimed MakeMyTrip still records a $20-million (₹189 crore) receivable from Go Air, an insolvent airline that has now shut down, in its account to falsely inflate earnings.
