Iranian military has said that it carried out precision strikes with missiles and drones against two US military hideouts in Dubai, stating that the first hideout had over 400 people while the second hideout had more than 100 people. Army gets 2,000 light machine guns 11 months ahead of schedule

Adani Defence and Aerospace has delivered 2,000 indigenously manufactured Prahar - Light Machine Guns (LMGs) 7.62 mm to the Indian Army. The delivery of the first batch was completed in seven months, 11 months ahead of the contracted schedule, the firm said. The guns were made at Adani Defence's Small Arms Facility in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior.

India's maternal mortality drops nearly 80% since 1990: Study

India's maternal mortality ratio (MMR) in 2023 has declined by nearly 80% since 1990, according to a study published in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, & Women's Health. The country's MMR fell from 508 to 116 per one lakh live births between 1990 and 2023. In 2023, India recorded 24,700 maternal deaths, compared to 32,900 in Nigeria, the study added.
