Illegal samosa unit run by 73-yr-old busted in Hyd, items worth ₹5 lakh seized

The Task Force of Hyderabad City Police busted an illegal samosa-manufacturing unit in Jiyaguda and arrested its 73-year-old owner, Abdul Rasheed, for violating norms and endangering public health. Rasheed was found using stale items and repeatedly using cooking oil to prepare samosas. Items worth ₹5 lakh, including prepared samosas, raw ingredients, and machinery, were seized in the operation.

How much LPG did India produce and consume in last 5 financial years?

India, which currently imports around 60% of its LPG, produced 12.8 million metric tonnes (MMT) while consuming 31.3 MMT of LPG in FY2024-25. India's forex reserves down $7 bn in 1 week, gold holdings up by $664 mn

India's forex reserves dropped by over $7 billion to about $709.76 billion during the week ended March 13, according to RBI data. Gold reserves, which are a part of forex reserves, increased by $664 million to reach over $130.68 billion over the same period. Other components, foreign currency assets and SDRs fell by over $7.67 billion and $23 million, respectively.
