Ship with Indian sailors, hit by Iran, lacked tools for emergency escape: DG Shipping

After an Iranian attack on an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman killed two Indian sailors, the Directorate General of Shipping said the crew probably lacked equipment to break the front portholes for emergency escape when fire surrounded the vessel. Although the regulator didn't name the incident, sources confirmed to The Indian Express that it referred to the same.

4,500 security personnel deployed for T20 WC final in Ahmedabad

Over 4,500 security personnel, including police officers and Home Guards, have been deployed for the India-New Zealand T20 World Cup final, which will take place at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, police stated. Iran cuts daily fuel quota for citizens from 30 to 20 litres after attacks on oil depots

After Israel attacked its oil depots in capital Tehran, Iran cut the daily fuel purchase quota for personal fuel cards from 30 litres to 20 litres. According to Iranian state TV, the attacks on oil depots in Tehran and Alborz provinces led to restrictions on fuel purchases at petrol stations. The attacks sparked massive fire and smoke across Tehran.

Patients spend ₹53,965 per hospitalisation in pvt facilities under PMJAY: Study

A study commissioned by NITI Aayog found that patients using private facilities under PM Jan Arogya Yojana spend ₹53,965 as Out-of-Pocket Expenditure (OOPE) per hospitalisation on medicines. A survey of 1,156 households across states and UTs covered under PMJAY showed 35% households incurred no OOPE during hospitalisation.
