Farhan's company asks producer of Ranveer's 'Pralay' to block ₹300-cr funding: Report

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment has reached out to newly-minted production house Birla Studios, which is supposed to be backing Ranveer Singh's zombie thriller 'Pralay', a report claimed. Sidhwani has requested Birlas not to go ahead with ₹300-crore funding till their dispute is resolved. Excel has reportedly sought ₹40-crore compensation from Ranveer over exiting 'Don 3'.

Investors lose ₹6 lakh crore as Sensex, Nifty fall 1%

Intel fined ₹27 crore by CCI over 'discriminatory' warranty policy

The Competition Commission of India has imposed a ₹27.38 crore fine on Intel over its discriminatory India-specific warranty policy. The regulator said the policy, updated in 2016, covered only boxed microprocessors (BMPs) purchased from an authorised Indian distributor of Intel. In other countries, a worldwide warranty is available to all Intel consumers, the CCI noted.

CM deposits ₹5,000 in accounts of 1.31 crore women ahead of TN polls

Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, CM MK Stalin credited ₹5,000, which includes ₹3,000 as advance allocation for February, March and April and ₹2,000 as a special summer assistance, to 1.31 crore beneficiaries under the Kalaignar Women's Rights Scheme. 1,370 litres of toxic milk made with detergent, urea & oil destroyed in Gujarat

The Food Safety & Standards Authority of India shut a factory in Gujarat's Himatnagar and destroyed 1,370 litres of toxic milk after it was found that urea, palm oil and soybean oil were being used.
