What causes smog?

Smog is a severe form of air pollution wherein a hazy layer in the atmosphere forms that reduces visibility. It consists of pollutants like nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, ozone, and particulate matter released from vehicles, industries, and burning fossil fuels. When these pollutants react with sunlight, they form a thick layer of ground-level ozone, a key component of smog.

Unemployment rate falls to 8-month low of 4.7% in November

The unemployment rate for Indians aged 15 years and above declined to 4.7% in November, making it the lowest level since April. The rural unemployment rate fell to a record low of 3.9%, while the urban unemployment rate decreased to 6.5%. The overall labour force participation rate (LFPR) increased to a seven-month high of 55.8% in the month.

Pakistani drone captured by India during Op Sindoor displayed by Army

The Indian Army on Monday displayed a Pakistani drone of Turkish origin that was captured during Operation Sindoor. The drone carried 10 kg of explosives and was launched from Lahore.
