SIR deadline extended in 5 states & 1 UT

ECI has extended the deadline for Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in five states and one Union Territory (UT). The new dates are-December 19 for Tamil Nadu and Gujarat; December 23 for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Andaman & Nicobar; December 31 for Uttar Pradesh. The enumeration period for Goa, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan and West Bengal ended on Thursday.

RBI announced that the final redemption price of β‚Ή12,801 for Sovereign Gold Bonds under 2017-18 Series-XI with issue date December 11, 2017. Half of India's at-home protein intake comes from low-quality cereals, study finds

Nearly half of all protein eaten in India now comes from basic grains like rice, wheat, semolina and refined flour, found an analysis by Council on Energy, Environment and Water.
