Chattisgarh teachers told to monitor snakes in schools, they call order 'absurd'

Chhattisgarh Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) has ordered school teachers to monitor stray dogs, snakes, scorpions and other venomous creatures on school premises. The directive cites a Supreme Court order to justify measure. The teachers and principals have condemned the order and called it "absurd" and added they are already doing teaching duties, midday meal monitoring, among others.

Mexico approves up to 50% tariffs on Indian, Chinese imports

Mexico's Senate approved tariff hikes of up to 50% on imports from countries without trade deals with Mexico, including China, India and other Asian countries. India has unveiled Matsya 6000, its first-ever crewed deep-sea submersible. It'd conduct its first manned dive of 500 meters by 2026 and 6000 metres by 2027. Goa bans fireworks inside nightclubs, bars, restaurants for 60 days

To ensure public safety, District Magistrates of North and South Goa have banned indoor fireworks and pyrotechnics across nightclubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and event venues for 60 days, announced CMO Goa. Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) permitted investments in gold and silver Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), giving pension funds the option to diversify into commodity investments.
