Bombay HC delays Maha local body poll results to Dec 21 from Dec 3

As voting continues today across 246 municipal councils and 46 nagar panchayats in Maharashtra, Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has postponed counting of votes and declaration of results from December 3 to December 21. Court has directed that the counting process be conducted only after all polling is completed. Around 1.07 crore voters will vote at 13,355 polling stations.

Allahabad High Court has issued directions to the UP administration to verify cases where individuals who've converted to religions other than Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism continue to claim Scheduled Caste status.
