US-bound flight dropped from 35,000 ft to 10,000 ft in Oct, exposing glitch in Airbus planes

Airbus' decision to recall 6,000 jets of its A320 fleet is believed to have been triggered by an incident on October 30, when a New Jersey-bound JetBlue plane suddenly dropped from 35,000 feet to 10,000 feet. Software update completed for over 50% of affected Airbus jets in India: DGCA

The DGCA has confirmed that more than 50% of the 338 Airbus A320 aircraft in India affected by the software issue have received the necessary update. Airbus issued an immediate recall of 6,000 A320 planes globally on Friday. In an update, IndiGo said it has completed the safety update on 160 out of 200 affected aircraft.
