HP to lay off up to 6,000 employees in 3 departments by 2028

HP has said it will lay off between 4,000 and 6,000 employees globally by fiscal 2028 as part of plans to streamline operations and adopt AI. CEO Enrique Lores said that teams focused on product development, internal operations and customer support will be impacted. He added the initiative will create $1 billion in gross run rate savings over three years.

1 district in India got 2,20,000 H-1B visas, that's a scam: Economist

Former US Congressman and economist Dr Dave Brat has alleged massive irregularities in H-1B visa processing at US consulate in Chennai. "There's a cap of only 85,000 H-1B visas, but somehow one district in India, the [Chennai] district, got 2,20,000, two and a half times the cap set by Congress. So that's the scam," Brat claimed.

'Lawrence Bishnoi' jackets being sold in Rajasthan; 3 men arrested

The Rajasthan Police have arrested three men for selling jackets bearing a resemblance to one that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi wore in a photograph. 16-yr-old basketball player dies after pole collapses on chest during practice in H'yana

A 16-year-old national-level basketball player died in a freak accident in Haryana's Rohtak after the basketball pole fell on his chest during practice. Cricketer Smriti Mandhana's father Shrinivas has been discharged from the hospital, India TV reported, adding that her wedding remains on hold for now.
