All 24 Indians knocked out of Chess World Cup 2025

India's campaign at Chess World Cup 2025 ended on Wednesday after Arjun Erigaisi lost to China's Wei Yi in the rapid tiebreaks of the quarter-finals. India had begun the tournament with a record 24 players, including world champion Gukesh D, Divya Deshmukh, R Praggnanandhaa, Nihal Sarin and Pentala Harikrishna, but Erigaisi was the only one to reach the last eight.

Married applicants seek live-in status under UCC rules in U’khand

The UCC rollout in Uttarakhand has led to a surge in registration of live-in relationships, with Haridwar seeing many married individuals applying to enter live-in relationships with third partners. Indonesia's Semeru volcano erupted on Wednesday, sending a 54,000-ft ash cloud into the sky, officials said. 16 students fall unconscious after gas leak at UP school
