Maha to buy ₹100 crore of sewer cleaners to end manual scavenging

The Maharashtra government is buying ₹100 crore worth of robotic sewer-cleaning machines to end manual scavenging under the new 'From Manhole to Machine Hole' scheme. The machines costing ₹1 crore each will be distributed across 29 municipal corporations in the first phase. Sanitation workers involved in manual sewer cleaning will be trained and given priority to operate these machines.

Thirty eight-year-old techie K Aravind working at Ola died by suicide, leaving behind a 28-page handwritten note, accusing his seniors including Ola CEO and Founder Bhavish Aggarwal, of mental harassment and financial exploitation. US government shutdown becomes 3rd-longest in country's history

Investors of Tata's loss-making trading arm seek clarity on ₹800-cr bonds' redemption: Report

Investors holding bonds worth ₹800 crore issued by Tata Group's loss-making trading and distribution arm Tata International Limited (TIL) are seeking clarity on whether TIL intends to redeem these bonds in December, Moneycontrol reported. If TIL fails to redeem the bonds, their interest could jump from 9.1% to 12.1%. The bonds were issued in December 2022 to refinance older bonds.
