LG Electronics becomes first-ever IPO in India to cross ₹4 lakh crore mark in subscription

LG Electronics India has created history by becoming the first IPO in India to cross the ₹4 lakh crore mark in total subscription value. The three-day public issue received bids for over 385 crore shares against 7.13 crore on offer, translating into an overall subscription of more than 54 times. The total bid amount stood at around ₹4.4 lakh crore.

None of the 3 toxic cough syrups were exported: India to WHO

The Indian authorities have told the World Health Organization that none of the three cough syrups - Coldrif, Respifresh TR and Relife - that were declared toxic have been exported. Coldrif has been linked to the deaths of over a dozen children in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The medicine had diethylene glycol 500 times more than the permissible limit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted to Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev that two Russian missiles were responsible for the downing of a passenger plane that killed 38 people on December 25, 2024. Released 6,000 people, layoff numbers in circulation exaggerated: TCS

TCS on Thursday said it has "released" 1% or 6,000 people from workforce as part of restructuring exercise it had initiated.
