Govt engineer burns ₹500 notes & throws into toilet pipes during raid in Bihar

A government engineer in Bihar, Binod Kumar Rai, and his family burnt several ₹500 notes and threw them into toilet pipes during a raid on Friday. The drains were clogged, following which the Economic Offences Unit called municipal workers for help. Several ₹500 notes were found wrapped in plastic bags inside the water tank. The team seized ₹52 lakh cash.

Labelled an "unauthorised alien" and deemed a flight risk, Singh faces six charges, including vehicular homicide. Singh entered US illegally in 2018 but held a commercial driver's licence.

2 dead, hundreds evacuated as heavy rain causes floods in Raj

Two women died in rain-related incidents and hundreds of people were shifted to safer locations as continuous rainfall triggered floods in Rajasthan. ISRO successfully conducts first integrated air drop test for Gaganyaan mission

ISRO on Sunday said it successfully accomplished the first Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-01) for the end-to-end demonstration of parachute-based deceleration system for Gaganyaan missions. This test was a joint effort by ISRO, Indian Air Force, DRDO, Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard, ISRO added. ISRO will launch Gaganyaan's first uncrewed mission in December this year.

'Nuclear plant hit by Ukrainian drones,' says Russia as Ukraine marks Independence Day
